Finding items on eBay can be difficult and confusing for some buyers. FloppyEaredPuppy.com was built to address various aspects of that problem and to allow buyers, sellers and affiliates in the ePN program to view hot products, most watched items, and top selling items in any part of the eBay category tree.

The eBay interface can seem cluttered and confusing, especially to new buyers, and the many features can make it slow to load at times. FloppyEaredPuppy.com was built to provide a clean, fast-loading portal through which buyers can search for items on eBay. The picture above is a sample screen shot showing a search in progress. Up to 6 category branches and leaves are displayed as users “drill” down through the category tree. In this case, the search is being conducted in Collectibles > Knives, Swords & Blades > Folding Knives > Modern (1970-Now) > 3 leaf categories. Selecting one of the leaf categories will search that one, leaving them unselected will search the branch above.
Because many internet users are unfamiliar with advanced search techniques, the lower part of the page attempts to make it easy for them. Many people do not know how to do basic things like search for a phrase or add negative search terms, so the boxes allow them to do it without knowing the search syntax. The list to the left allows users to search using eBay item specifics.
Sellers looking for the best keywords and affiliates looking for hot market niches will find the Hot Products on eBay page very useful. It shows a list of the most-used search terms in each part of the eBay category tree. Users can drill down through the category tree to see the most popular words searched by buyers on each branch and leaf of the tree.
The Top Selling Items page shows which products are selling in the highest numbers on eBay and the Most Watched Items page shows which items are being watched most in any selected category branch or leaf. Both of these pages also have links to similar pages for eBay Motors.
